A small crew that got tired of watching paint fail.

Two Coats Painting Co. started in 2014 with one van, two ladders and a rule we still keep: two full coats, no matter what the estimate said the customer down the road paid. Before that we spent years repainting other people’s work after three winters, and it was almost always the same story. The prep got skipped to hit a price.

So we sell the prep instead of hiding it. You get a written list of what gets washed, scraped, filled, sanded and primed before a single finish coat goes on. We are still a five-person crew, which is small enough that the person who quoted your house is on the ladder when the work starts.

How the crew works

Four things we do not bend on.

01

Prep is the job

Anyone can roll a wall. Filling, sanding, caulking and priming is what decides whether it still looks right in five years, so that is where our hours go.

02

Say the number once

A flat written price for the scope on the page. If we find rot or water damage behind the paint, we stop and show you before anything changes.

03

Leave it livable

Tools tidied, drop cloths folded, furniture back where it started. You should be able to use the room the evening we finish it.

04

Fix it before we go

We walk every job with you in daylight. Anything you point at gets touched up while the truck is still in the driveway.

Where we work

Towns we cover out of Millbrook Crossing.

We keep the radius tight so the whole crew is on one job at a time instead of split across the county. If your town is not on the list, ask anyway. If it is close we will come look.
